This season our pom team is on its way to the final state competition hosted at eastern university. Its been such a rough season, but well worth it. Although during regionals didn't exactly go as we planned, we still made it through to states. Which is all we could've asked for at this point! Practice has never been so exhausting! I (including about every other girl on the team) has a countless number of bumps, gashes and bruises. Not just any small kind of bruises either, you know, the painful, ugly kind. the ones the size of golfballs! yay! yes, we had too many of those. so many actually my mom was worried and insisted on taking me to go get them"checked out" by a doctor. ha it never happened of course but she wished it did.
although some say pom isn't a sport, i beg to differ! I would absolutely love to see anyone try and attempt the things we do; then we'll talk! but, on the contrary, i guess its understandable how people think pom is just a piece of cake. but let me tell you...it most defininely is not. nope, not at all. I find myself struggling the next morning to get moving just because of how fatigued and dead my whole body is.
so again, states is this weekend and we've been working tand practicing like there is no tomorrow. from 4 hour practices to get togethers at houses, i see these girls more than i see my own family! ( not that its a bad thing...) but it seems as if its all i do anymore but oh well. its over soon and then i'll become bored and wished it didn't end! but thats about all i had to say, i'll be writting back soon!
